Seth Godin created a Kickstarter project 3 days ago with a goal of raising $40,000. 3 days later the project has raised $205,587 and he hasn’t written the ebook yet.
The premise of this project is that if he gets enough financial backing through Kickstarter then he will write the book and if not, then no Kickstarter backer gets charged. He gets to put his art, his book idea, out there and see if there’s any interest. If there is, then he’ll do the work to make the book a reality.
If you have an idea, what’s keeping you from doing your best to support through Kickstarter or other means, build a group of people that care, and go about doing what you want to do?
